Precision Electrical & Air carried out a detailed installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system. The indoor unit was carefully situated within the ceiling space above the void, while the condenser was securely fixed to the front balcony wall, using rubber feet for added stability. All connections between the indoor and outdoor units were discreetly hidden within ductwork as they exited the ceiling space.

To facilitate efficient water drainage, two drainage systems were established from the indoor unit and its safety tray, leading to the external gutter. The installation included meticulous placement of ducting, branch take-offs, zone motors, and air plenums throughout the ceiling space, ensuring flawless integration with the indoor unit. A return air grille was positioned in the upstairs hallway to enhance the system’s airflow.

A dedicated electrical sub-circuit was created, extending from the switchboard to the outdoor unit, featuring an NHP isolation switch conveniently located next to the condenser. In the upstairs hallway, a MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was installed, providing intuitive temperature management linked directly to the zone motors.

New ducting, interconnect cables, and copper pair coils were added to connect the indoor and outdoor units, with the condenser mounted on rubber feet to ensure stability during operation.

A dedicated electrical circuit was created from the switchboard to the outdoor condenser, including an NHP isolation switch for safety. An Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump was installed beneath the indoor unit and connected to the nearest stormwater downpipe, facilitating effective drainage. Upon completion, the system underwent comprehensive commissioning to guarantee optimal performance.
